Sunnie Zine Launch: Target Retail + Editorial Platform
Sunnie expanded its multimedia and experiential brand into print with the launch of its first-ever zine, a limited-edition 50-page issue distributed nationwide in Target stores and online. The debut issue features actress Kiernan Shipka on the cover and introduces a new editorial extension of the Sunnie ecosystem: designed to deepen connection through offline, tactile storytelling.
The zine blends classic teen magazine formats: personal essays, advice columns, quizzes, horoscopes, with a modern, purpose-driven lens. Shipka’s cover story anchors the issue, exploring themes of wellness, identity, and self-connection, aligning with Sunnie’s mission to create space for young audiences to engage with themselves and each other in meaningful ways.
The launch was supported by a dedicated in-store retail footprint, including a branded Sunnie endcap featured through July. The zine was merchandised alongside Sunnie Reads book selections, an exclusive tote, and curated products from brand partners including e.l.f. Cosmetics, Gimme Beauty, OFF!, and Not Your Mother's: bridging content, commerce, and community in a unified retail experience.

Led the creative vision for the zine and photoshoot, shaping the visual and editorial identity of the inaugural issue. Directed on-set execution for the cover/internal shoot/spread and partnered cross-functionally to align creative, editorial, and brand stakeholders.
